Spotlight Series: Jane Darnell at The Arches

Jane Darnell, currently the Managing Director at The Arches in Coatesville, has played a pivotal role in the success of this exquisite wedding and event venue, alongside owner Crosby Wood. Prior to her tenure at The Arches, Jane honed her skills in the wedding and event industry at the Baldwin School, overseeing weddings and events until the onset of the pandemic in 2020. The turning point in her career came when her colleague, Justin Chan from Valley Creek Productions, informed her about The Arches – a fortuitous match at the perfect time.

With 37 years of marriage to Larry Darnell and a family of three kids and four grandkids, Jane brings a personal touch to her mission at The Arches. “Our mission is to take the stress and worry out of hosting the perfect event,” she emphasizes. Beyond the allure of their uniquely beautiful facility, The Arches boasts a team of dedicated members committed to ensuring that events surpass the expectations of clients and guests alike. While clients are welcome to collaborate with their preferred vendors, Jane assures them that the recommended professionals associated with The Arches are not only talented and creative but also responsive and reliable.

Jane’s commitment extends beyond her professional life; she is deeply rooted in the community. With a strong belief in Coatesville and a passion for bringing the community together, Jane endeavors to create memorable events through her work and everyday interactions.

In a significant joint venture in 2021, the transformation of two historic Catholic churches in Coatesville into modern, versatile spaces opened up new opportunities for Jane. St. Cecelia’s Church was built in 1860 stood vacant for many years. This spaces now serve as a hub for the community, accommodating a range of functions, including weddings, birthdays, meetings, and other special lifetime events. Jane not only books and coordinates these events but also puts her heart into ensuring they reflect the spirit of the community she holds dear.
