Looker Books in Coatesville: A Literary Haven

Dec 7, 2023 | Downtown, Event

A new chapter has begun for Dana Looker of Coatesville. Looker Books is a vibrant bookstore that has captured the imagination of locals and literary enthusiasts alike. Established after a successful year as a pop-up bookstore, Looker Books has now set up shop in a temporary space in the Made in Coatesville Small Business Incubator. This is located 228 E Lincoln Hwy, bringing a delightful assortment of new books and gifts from various genres and for all ages.

The journey of Looker Books began as a pop-up initiative, where the community embraced the concept with open arms, fostering a literary culture in Coatesville. The positive response prompted Looker Books to take the next step, finding a temporary space to provide a more permanent presence while actively searching for its forever home in the city. Looker Books aspires to become an integral part of Coatesville’s cultural fabric, offering not only a diverse selection of new books but also an array of thoughtful gifts suitable for readers of all ages. The bookstore is more than just a place to purchase books; it’s a literary haven where stories come alive, and the love for reading is cultivated.

The current temporary location at 228 E Lincoln Hwy will serve as the hub for Looker Books as they actively engage with the community and explore potential permanent locations. The bookstore is committed to establishing a welcoming space that encourages literary exploration and fosters a sense of community.

The Incubator is hosting the highly anticipated Made In Coatesville Holiday Market, a festive event that goes beyond a typical shopping destination. The market features a diverse array of local vendors, providing attendees with a unique and one-of-a-kind shopping experience for holiday gifts. More than just a marketplace, the event embodies the spirit of community celebration. Visitors can enjoy the joyful atmosphere, sip on warm hot cocoa, and bask in the perfect blend of holiday magic and community charm from December 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th.

Additionally, the bookstore will be offering gift wrapping services, enhancing the overall shopping experience for its patrons. In the spirit of the holiday season, Looker Books is extending its hours, including Sundays, up until Christmas, ensuring that book enthusiasts have ample time to find the perfect gifts for their loved ones.
