Coatesville’s Got Talent: A Partnership with NAACP Coatesville Branch for First Fridays Event

On the first Friday of each month, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., residents, neighbors, and visitors of all ages are invited to explore the vibrant downtown area along 1st to 3rd Avenues. Local shops, vendors, and restaurants will be open to welcome attendees, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Tomorrow, the First Friday’s event features a special collaboration with the NAACP Coatesville branch for a talent show called “Coatesville’s Got Talent,” set to take place in the Presence Bank parking lot during First Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Another highlight of this month’s First Fridays will be the June theme, dedicated to commemorating Juneteenth. This month will feature educational events, performances, and reflections on African American history and culture, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in celebration and remembrance.

Coatesville’s Got Talent: Showcasing Local Talent

The partnership with the NAACP Coatesville branch brings an exciting addition to this year’s First Fridays with “Coatesville’s Got Talent.” This talent show aims to spotlight the diverse array of talent within the Coatesville community. From singers and dancers to comedians and magicians, local talents will have the opportunity to shine and entertain the crowd in the Presence Bank parking lot. Anyone ages 5-25 with stage talents are encouraged to sign up and win prizes! A J Jams Music Group recording studio will provide the winner with the opportunity to create and possible finish a song. This will take place at the NAACP’s commercial location at The Grand Opera House located in Wilmington, Delaware.

The First Fridays events are a testament to this commitment, providing a platform for local businesses to thrive and for the community to engage in meaningful and enjoyable experiences.
