Coatesville Educator Receives Coveted Citadel Heart of Learning Award

May 14, 2024 | Coatesville

Tracey Parker, a Child Development instructor at Coatesville Area Senior High School, was celebrated with the esteemed Citadel Heart of Learning Award in April, as reported by Leah Mikulich of Vista.Today.

Parker, who has served in the Coatesville Area School District for a decade, oversees the high school’s preschool program, where students learn about child development and effective interaction with young children.

Recognized for her compassionate demeanor and unwavering support for her students, Parker has left a lasting impact. An anonymous student expressed gratitude, stating, she owes much of who she is today to Mrs. Parker. She goes the extra mile for her students, emphasizing that teaching is not merely a profession but a genuine passion.

Among thousands of nominations submitted to Citadel Credit Union annually from across the Greater Philadelphia region, only a handful of educators are selected for this distinction. In acknowledgment of her outstanding dedication, Parker was presented with a $1,000 award along with a glass heart trophy.
